Annette Pugh
Birmingham based artist Annette Pugh explores notions of restlessness and uncertain moments within her work. Fascinated by archive photography, Annette often references subjects and locations which are at once both familiar and yet anonymous. Concepts relating to leisure, longing, and absence imbue her practice and solitude and solace are ever present in recent paintings. These investigate a meditative and powerful sense of place, and notions of fate.
